Convocation, Profile
Congratulations to our 2021 Linguistics Graduates!
Every Convocation, the Department of Linguistics recognizes and congratulates all our graduating graduate and undergraduate students for their achievements throughout their degrees.
Every year we are deeply impressed and appreciative of the hard work and dedication our graduating students have invested to the complete a credential they can be proud of.
Congratulations to all our gradutates!
This year's Linguistics undergraduate with the highest LING CGPA is Waleed Hakeem, graduating with a Linguistics Major and a Certificate in the Linguistics of Speech Science.
On June 24, he is the undergraduate speaker at Ceremony A - our virtual convocation ceremony that includes all Linguistics Grads.

In his speech, Hakeem says to his fellow grads:
"Remember, it is a privilege to study, and I challenge you to act with courage, be empathetic, recognize your privileges in society, and simply breathe, because there is so much work to be done, and I can’t wait to go out there and get it done with you."
We are happy to highlight a few of our graduating students with some feature stories that let us get to know a few of them better
