About
I received a BA in English Language & Literature from Ewha Womans University in 2024, where I developed a broad interest in psycholinguistics, speech perception, phonology, and phonetics. My first role was as a research assistant for Prof. Jinwook Choi at Seoul National University in the Medical Informatics Lab, where I gained hands-on experience in applying computational linguistics to real-world settings through NLP projects. Following that, I joined Prof. Sujin Yang's A Growing Experience Lab in the Psychology Department, where I assisted with projects on child language acquisition and human-computer interaction, learning various experimental methods such as fNIRS. I was also fortunate to work on research projects in syntax and corpus linguistics with Prof. Hye-Won Choi. Drawing on these experiences, my current research interests focus on understanding how we use, adapt, and adjust speech styles in communication and interaction with robots and AI, utilizing both experimental and computational methods. I'm excited to delve deeper into these topics at SFU Linguistics.
