The COPE Team at the 25th Annual Gerontology Careers Night

On March 13, the Lifelong Health and Wellbeing Lab participated in the 25th Annual Gerontology Careers Night. This event was designed to connect students with professionals in the aging field and featured a panel discussion with leading experts in gerontology, including Dr. Indira Riadi from United Way, Alison Keller from Amica Senior Lifestyles, Dr. Janice Sorensen from Fraser Health Authority, and Dr. Heather Cooke from Alzheimer’s Society of B.C. The panelists shared insights on career paths and opportunities within the gerontology fields.
At this event, the Lifelong Health and Wellbeing Lab team members engaged with attendees at the lab’s table, providing information about the ongoing studies, and the DASH and COPE projects’ contributions towards the topic of healthy aging. The COPE team also took the opportunity to invite interested participants to join their study in the Summer. This event was not only a chance to connect with the broader gerontology community but also an opportunity to learn about other research projects in the gerontology field.
