The capstone to our study of Rome took the form of a design charette that tasked us with the creation of an architectural intervention in the heart of Rome. The goal of our proposed interventions was to reintegrate a Mussolini era excavation of the Crypta Balbi temple with the surrounding city through the creation of a public extension to the nearby museum that celebrates the urban palimpsest that makes up the city's many layers.
