Biography: Dongya Yang holds BSc in biology, MSc and Ph.D. in anthropology. His current research interests include ancient DNA technique, molecular archaeology and physical anthropology. While much effort continues toward developing and optimizing lab techniques to maximize the retrieval of DNA from ancient human, animal and plant remains, the new focus of him and his research group has been on integrating ancient DNA analysis with archaeological contexts to address many outstanding archaeological questions that might not be adequately addressed through non-DNA approaches.
