Members of the Department of Indigenous Studies stand in solidarity with Muslim communities in their grief and rage as well as demands for justice in honour of the four members of the Afzaal family who were killed in an act of hate in London, Ontario. Our thoughts and support go to their young son. Islamophobia and racial violence are fundamental to settler colonialism, and we commit to working against all these systems of oppression.
