Dr. Eldon Yellowhorn was recently featured in a live Q and A with Astronomer Marley Leacock, hosted by Program Coordinator Michael Unger from the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

"Dr. Eldon Yellowhorn (Piikani Nation) is an archaeologist and professor of Indigenous Studies at Simon Fraser University. His research responds to the Calls to Action issued by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to search for children who died at residential schools. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. September 30, 2021 marked the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process."
