Research Description
My thesis presents an ethnohistorical analysis of Indigenous health on the Central Coast of British Columbia, between 1895 and 1925. In particular, I am examining Indigenous relations with Methodist medical missionaries, and how these interactions mutually informed and shaped different socio-cultural conceptions of health and healing.
