Samuel published his fourth book, I Know Where the Bodies Are Buried: A Memoir, 1956-2011 in January 2014, surveying selected highlights of his life so far - piekilling a politician, participating in a gay rights riot, involvement in the anarchist movement of the 1980s, and involvement as a Wiccan Priest and activist. 

During his time as a graduate student, Samuel was a founder of a small Wiccan church (Congregationalist Wiccan Association of BC).
