Suggested Salary Range

Co-op work terms must be paid at a rate comparable to industry norms. Students are encouraged to consider the educational benefit of a position rather than just salary; however, salary is a factor in students' work term considerations.

SIAT Co-op students’ hourly salaries range from $15.65 (minimum wage) to $38 +, with the average salary ranging from $18 - $22. Salaries vary depending on the industry, type of work and skills required, but generally students with previous co-op work term experience and who are near graduation are at the higher end of the range. Graphs below are based on SIAT co-op salary data from 2022.
