Sara Wong

Biography
Sara Wong completed the Global Humanities major with concentrations in Art & Material Culture and Public Engagement & Intellectual Culture. In her first year at SFU, she re-established the Humanities Student Union (HUMSU), where she served as president until she graduated. Sara has organized a variety of events and initiatives with HUMSU. Most notably, she spearheaded the launch of Witness to Humanity, an undergraduate anthology of poetry, prose, and visual art focused on the necessity of studying humanity through a modern, interdisciplinary lens. Sara was also involved with The Peak, SFU's independent student newspaper, as its Arts & Culture Editor. She has contributed work to the two aforementioned publications, as well as award-winning essays for the SLC Writing Contest and Dutton Essay Prize.
