SFU Gerontology awarded for promoting intergenerational initiatives
February 23, 2023
Congratulations to Dr. Habib Chaudhury, Rachelle Patille, and Sue Carabetta for receiving the CERi Special Recognition Award for their work on the InterGenNS community-engaged research project, which promotes intergenerational initiatives.
The InterGenNS project is a partnership between Simon Fraser University and the North Shore Community Resources Society. Developed in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, this project aimed to reduce social isolation through intergenerational programming on the North Shore.
This project has since generated community connectivity by bringing together generations, ideas, and diverse organizations. Read more about this initiative here.
