According the MCE-OWA, there are three areas that are large enough and score high enough above the suitability threshold to warrant siting the facility there, according to the criteria anyway. These are shown in the boolean layer SUITGROUPS-2. However the two areas in Coquitlam are so close that they can be considered as one site. Therefore its between the Coquitlam site and the Richmond site. When looking at each area with the Thiessen polygon layer, and using personal knowledge of the areas, it seems that the Coquitlam site would be best suited to build this facility. Although perhaps not right now, once the skytrain extension is built, and with the growing youth population, it seems this would be an ideal site for this Olympic facility. During the Olympic period, there will be huge numbers of people already going from Richmond (mainly the airport) into Vancouver. Spreading the transportation load over the whole public transit system would make for a much more efficient system.
In terms of the types of analysis used in this project it seemed to work quite well and could be updated as more information becomes available which is relevant to this problem.
