SPATIAL ANALYSIS
The spatial analysis behind my project involved looking at two different cases through a series of addition overlays and producing “scores” for each shop. The highest ranking score was considered the number one shop.
Case 1:
-Higher shop rate ranked higher
-More shop hours ranked higher
-More shop artists ranked higher
-Shops with piercing and tattooing ranked higher
Case 2:
-Higher shop rate ranked higher
-More shop hours ranked higher
-More shop artists ranked higher
-Shops with piercing and tattooing ranked higher
-Shorter distances from skytrain stations ranked higher
It was necessary to reclass shops_Skytrain so that the big distances were given small values before overlaying with step 3.
