Welcome to my Geography 355 project! My project is to enhance Professor Bill Quinton soil's data by using Idrisi to automate pixel counting instead of manual counting them. There are two main objectives to this project. The first objective is to identify the active porosity in the soil slide. The second objective is to have at least three random horizontal transects on each soil slides to figure out the diameter of each pore cells (geometric mean of pore diameter).
In the future, anyone can use the methods that I have produced and it
will eliminate manual counting and save a lot of time.
