2007 Institutional Report
1. Reporting Institution:
Douglas College
2. Representative:
Dave Waddington
3. Changes to Schedule:
The college has gone to a new timetabling system, with class blocks on Mondays and Wednesdays matched, Tuesdays and Thursdays matched, and Fridays for "customized blocks". This has resulted in easier intercampus travel for instructors, and allows students to more easily attend courses on different campuses.
4. Changes to P rograms/Courses:
We are developing a new course to transfer to EOSC112, and a new Geology Project course (facilitating student exposure to regional geology).
5. Changes to Staffing:
Saf Kakar (Instructor) and Des Wilson (Dean) have retired, and Michael and Dave are full-time in Geology. Cindy continues as technician, and Brett is instructing a couple of courses for us. Our new Dean is Sandy Vanderburgh (a physical geographer from UCFV).
