How can a mentor collaborate with a classroom teacher? To make a successful telementoring relationship, it is important to collaborate with the teacher in the following ways: - Supporting the teacher in achieving his teaching goals - Recognizing and thinking carefully about the limits of the help a mentor can offer to students at a distance, and finally - As crafting advice to mentees, a mentor needs to weigh the potential benefits of taking one possible course versus another, and not simply offering the first advice that comes to mind.
