Biography
John is earthquake seismologist and geophysicist with research interests in all aspects of earthquake hazard studies to help mitigate the impact of future earthquakes in Canada. Current research activities include: mapping movement along faults; mapping the earthquake-generating stress-field; obtaining more accurate earthquake locations; studying what controls local variations in earthquake ground shaking; and mapping earth structure using earthquake waves (with applications to resource evaluations).
