Biography
I have worked at SFU as a media designer since 2012. I work primarily in the area of graphics and interactive graphics, helping instructors to design, develop and distribute media for learning and teaching in their courses. I work with instructors individually and also facilitate workshops at CEE. The technologies I work with range from the familiar (Powerpoint, Slides, Canva) to the advanced (Adobe Suite, H5P), and topics include graphic and information design, drawing, and presentations.
My background is in fine art and communication. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from SFU and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Illustration from Sheridan College in Ontario. Additionally, I have Instructional Skills Workshop Certificate from SFU. I am interested in new learning and teaching technologies and always happy to explore. I also work as an freelance illustrator and have published my work in several children’s books.
