Arturo Sepulveda
Arturo is a Northern Development Initiative Trust Intern in the Economic Development Department at the Lheidli T’enneh Nation (LTN). Arturo has five years of experience working for a Mexican state government in economic and social development and poverty alleviation as Head of Economic Studies and Private Secretary of the Social Welfare Secretariat of Tamaulipas, where he designed, implemented, and managed different projects and policies. In addition, Arturo has experience in the educational sector as University Lecturer at two Mexican universities and as a Teacher Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
Arturo holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies specializing in the North American Economy from the Universidad de Monterrey and an MBA in Strategic Management from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas. Arturo is currently enrolled in a MA in International Studies with a specialization in International Development at the University of Northern British Columbia. Arturo will defend his master’s thesis in August 2023, which examines contemporary national sustainable food systems policies in the context of two East Asian countries. Arturo has been a visiting student at universities in Mexico, Chile, and Spain.
