1. Remove unused links from course navigation

• Remove links in the course navigation that are not being used 
• Eliminate the need for access to Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes, Pages, Files etc links on the navigation bar and direct students through modules to content.

2. Limit pathways to content

• Make it simple and clear to access content
• Eliminate the need to use navigational links if possible and most content can be accessed through modules

3. Use Modules or Customized Front Page that directs students to content

Simple and clean design

·      Easy navigation

·      Minimal use of decorative items

·      If using decorative items only if it enhancing the user experience of the site/course

·      Accessible by all devices (web, mobile, tablet)

4. Naming conventions

• Simple, consise and meaningful names
• Clean up file names if required for imported content
• Avoid special characters and try to keep filenames short

5.  Use PDF format for documents

• PDFs are recommended
