Unity VR Game: The Cave (2017)
Game Trailer Video
Overview
The project aims to make the users aware of the psychological impacts that feelings such as pressure, uncertainty and fear can have on their own decision-making process. Basing on Freud’s tripartite theory of the psyche, we represent its main concepts, the Id and the Super-ego, as voices played inside the player’s head and with that we aim to convey the roles of these parts in the human psyche. The player’s real thoughts will act as the Ego, the realistic one that mediates between the desires of the Id and the Super-ego. We hope to make the players feel how the urgency and pressure created by the environment influence their listening to their own Id, Ego and Super-ego thoughts and desires.
