15 years of remarkable impact
A successful health research funding organization is an effective agent of change, developing capacity, and able to adapt and evolve strategy and programming to meet changing needs.
However, the question often arises — what is the real impact, over time, of awards and programs of health research funding agencies like the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research?
MSFHR has always aimed to go beyond typical funding models to act as a catalyst for research careers, a pathway for young researchers, a foundation for team science, and a conduit to the needed systems and data that are the lifeblood of research.
In this issue of Spark, we take the opportunity to celebrate our 15th anniversary and highlight the impact MSFHR has had on health research transformation in British Columbia since 2001. We also look to the future and our new programs and activities that will help ensure our health research community has the support it needs to grow, innovate and adapt.
We hope you enjoy this issue, and we welcome your feedback at info@msfhr.org.
