Comments

These notes were developed for a combinatorics course at Simon Fraser University. They are very closely based on Van Lint & Wilson's wonderful book "A Course in Combinatorics". Indeed a number of sections here are little more than my own written version of some of their selections. I do differ somewhat in my treatment of course. Most notably, I have a section on group actions which develops the basics of permutation groups. Also, I develop the concepts of affine and projective planes in general without mention of block designs, and I introduce the Quaternions to help with the proof of Bruck-Ryser-Chowla
