Or stagger your expiration dates across users to balance things out.

P.S. We used to see a lot of issues with iPhones/iPod Touches locking people's Zimbra accounts out after a password change. I haven't seen this as an issue in at least a year - perhaps the devices are smart enough to stop trying endlessly when they are told 'bad password'?

Agreed, make sure you state you'll NEVER ask for the password, ever.
And then some copy on how to contact your support desk for help.

And then remember to over staff your support desk on the day passwords expire ;)
