restoring

Hi,

I can't seem to figure out how I can do a simple restore.

E.g. user x emails with the question I have deleted folder y yesterday 
please restore it.

I can't figure out how to do it without overwriting his current account.
Ofcourse I can prefix the restored account. But How can I give my user 
access to it?

How do you guys handles those restores? :)
