Irregular Strong Verbs

There are a few verbs that show peculiar alternations. Some of these appear to be strong verb s but the past tense and non-progressive participle are the same. In others, they are strong in the past tense, and weak-regular in the non-progressive participle. Do and go are have strong non-progressive participles; the past tense of go is suppletive: The non-progressive participle of be is strong; otherwise it is suppletive.
