Garibaldi sunrise, 40" x 30", acrylic on canvas, 2016.

Mt. Garibaldi rises steeply at the north end of Howe Sound, BC and attracts its share of clouds. This interpretive view is at sunrise, when the valleys are still dark and the peak of the mountain appears through a gap in the clouds: the bright band of cloud lies among the ridges, and the darker, heavier layer is above the viewer.
