As part of their ongoing Café Scientifique series, the SFU Faculty of Science would like to present "SciComm vs. Fake News"! Join Dr. Vance Williams and members of the community as they discuss the changing face of public discourse. In an era where science and facts seem to be losing to emotion and rhetoric, how can scientists and science communicators best contribute to the public understanding of issues related to health, technology and the environment? This Café Scientifique will address the deficiencies in common approaches to scientific communication and discuss new ways forward.
