Wendy Hurlburt is the President and CEO of LifeSciences BC. She is a career executive with more than 20 years of Global Finance, Operations and Compliance experience in the healthcare and technology sectors. She has held leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, LIFESCAN Canada and Lexmark International. Wendy is a certified Data and Privacy Professional and has managed Privacy and Healthcare Compliance programs both here in Canada and in the US for the better part of her career. Working both in the corporate environment and in private practice, she has taken the lead on compliance, regulatory and privacy issues for the last 20 years.
Wendy has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, an MBA from Queen’s University and a Certificate in Strategic Leadership from the Sauder School of Executive Education at UBC. Wendy serves on the Board of Directors of The Centre for Drug Research and Development and she chairs their Finance & Audit Committee. She also serves on the Vancouver Board of Trade Women in Leadership Advisory Committee.
