NaloxHome Society was developed in 2021, due to an increasing need for comprehensive, youth-to-youth drug education and naloxone training in BC schools. In 2023, NaloxHome Society was incorporated as a Registered Society. After learning about the overdose crisis and health inequities in her coursework, Founder and SFU Faculty of Health Sciences BSc. candidate, Chloe Goodison, felt empowered to combine her love for entrepreneurship with her passion for health equity. Working with staff from Fraser Health and SHARE Society, Chloe built a science-backed curriculum and cultivated a team of 12 diverse youth volunteers to deliver this information in secondary schools.

NaloxHome Society now has over 55 Educators and has reached over 5,000 students since beginning operations. NaloxHome Society is present at community events, providing free naloxone training on-site. NaloxHome Society is unique, as unlike other organizations, they provide youth-to-youth drug education, which greatly increases engagement and eradicates stigma.

When not presenting, NaloxHome Society runs annual Spring Hygiene Drives and Winter Clothing Drives, where Educators connect with community business partners to collect items for people who are most affected by overdose.

NaloxHome Society has received national media attention and various awards for their groundbreaking work. NaloxHome Society is looking forward to expanding across British Columbia, to bring their successful education program into every school district.
