Violence and Aggression CRIM 405 (3)

A detailed examination of violence and aggression and efforts to control them from the earliest humans to the present. Topics include: the historical trajectory of violence, the changing nature of violent crime, legal definitions of it, and legal responses to it – some of which include violence. Prerequisite: CRIM 101. Students who have taken CRIM 313 in Spring 2016, Fall 2017, and Fall 2021 under the title "Violence and Aggression" may not take this course for further credit.
