SFU STAR received funding from AGE-WELL in 2023 to lead on a project on Addressing Ethical Challenges in AgeTech: Co-creating a Way Forward with National and International Communities. See project summary here. 

The project has been titled ICE-TeA: The International Consortium for Ethics in Technology & Aging and the team is currently developing a project logo. A scoping review of AgeTech in this sector, a number of workshops and a community of practice are also currently being developed. The team hosted their first workshop with AgeTech experts at AGE-WELL's Annual Conference in Toronto in October 2023. The title of the workshop was Ethical AgeTech: Working towards culture change and ethical design thinking in the AgeTech sector.
