AgeTech Innovation Week 2023
AgeTech Innovation Week (ATIW) 2023, hosted by AGE-WELL and supported by the SFU STAR Institute, took place from October 23-27, 2023 in Toronto and was the premiere event for technology and innovation for aging and caregiving this year.
ATIW 2023 brought together stakeholders in research, industry, government and community organizations, older adults, caregivers, future leaders and others committed to enhancing lives through technology and hosted inspiring keynote presentations, dynamic panel discussions, the latest AgeTech innovations, workshops, networking opportunities, and more. Key anchor events such as the envisAGE Annual Forum and AGE-WELL Conference 2023 took place during the week.
SFU STAR Institute helped organize ATIW 2023 and provided graphic design support for ATIW 2023 and anchor events. STAR researchers facilitated a workshop on Ethical AgeTech: Working towards culture change and ethical design thinking in the AgeTech sector, as part of STAR's AGE-WELL funded project on ethics & AgeTech titled ICE-TeA: The International Consortium for Ethics in Technology & Aging. STAR researchers also presented a poster on The Future of AgeTech based off STAR's recent research brief. See the presented poster below.
