1/2. Footsteps on squishy ground near the dam.
3. Dam from top of the spillway, huge roar as microphones peer over the edge.
4. Same as 3.
5. Dam from below spillway, generally like white noise. Lots of wind noise on microphones.
6. Starts at lower terminal of the skyride. Many bumping noises from people with skis and boots. Continuous hum in background.
4'00" p.a. announcement, followed by footsteps of passengers boarding the gondola.
6'30" indistinct, but loud p.a. message.
7. The ultimate in schizophonia: the cashier is sealed in a glass booth -- an umbilical microphone connection provides the only acoustic link to the outside world. Has to be heard to be believed!
8. Heavy low frequencies at beginning (freezer noise).
1'15" really heavy lows!
2'00" unknown mechanical noise (conveyor belt?).
3'00" more low frequency vibration.
3'15" voices.
9. Starts with heavy hum, then entering a large reverberant part of the mall. Voices are clearer, moozak is in the background.
1'45" more low frequency sound.
2'15" very sharp change as microphones enter store.
3'05" comment to microphones.
*3'15" enter store, it is quiet here but an insidious low frequency throb is audible.
4'15" another store, liquor store, cash register, bags, shopping carts.
5'45" boys' voices in large open space, reverberant.
7'45" telephone bell ambience changing gradually here.
9'45" voices clearer, ambience quieter.
11'15" a ride on the escalator.
12'40" p.a. announcement, this sounds like a department store.
13'20" escalator again.
13'50" loud rock music.
14'45" move outside to roar of diesel bus and pretty, pretty moozak.
15'10" kids' footsteps followed by voice.
