REEL 12 COMMENTARY
1. Starts with music, a swinging 3/4 time and applause.
1'15" somebody whistling along with music in foreground.
1'55" applause and end of music.
*2'10" ringmaster announcing triple somersault.
2'20" drumroll.
2'40" absolute stillness.
3'00" more drumrolls, with crescendo and music and finally applause. Nice build-up.
3'30" new piece of music starts.
4'00" another drumroll sequence accompanying acrobatics, followed by applause.
*4'30" ringmaster announces simultaneous twin somersaults.
5'00" drumrolls, audience silent, then crescendo leading to applause.
5'40" fast moving music followed by applause.
*7'40" ringmaster sings medley. Great and hokey! (to 9'45"). Medley continued by band only, intermittent applause.
10'30" ringmaster sings again about circus and circus days.
*11'00" announces conclusion of performance.
12'10" music end .
2. Crowd sounds and shuffling. Mixture of children's and adult voices, shouting. Some whistling. All sounds occur in reverberant space.
