When a sound is
subjected to phasing, its spectrum is being filtered,
and therefore when heard on headphones, the lack of
other binaural cues means that it produces in-head
localization (IHL). Phasing does occur with high
frequencies involved in pinna reflections, but these
alone are insufficient to prevent IHL. |
