Julia Lukacs is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program under the supervision of Dr. Grace Iarocci. She is co-supervised by Dr. Mariana Brussoni (University of British Columbia; BC Children's Hospital Research Institute). Her work at Simon Fraser University is funded by a Canada Graduate Scholarship - Doctoral award.

Julia completed her BA in Psychology and Communication Studies at The University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and her MSc in Clinical and Developmental Psychopathology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Between her MSc and commencing her graduate studies at Simon Fraser Univesrity, she worked for the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research. Julia has worked on research investigating gratitude, sleep, mood, bipolar disorder, risk-taking behaviours, adolescent health and well being, autism, and the cognitive bases of visual processing. 

Julia's current research interests include ADHD, anxiety, parental protectiveness, and childhood risky play.  She is also interested in treatment accessibility, risk and resilience.
