The Neoplan dual-modes for the South Station - Logan Airport Silver Line will not arrive in time for the South Boston Bus Tunnel opening. The plan is to use 12-14 of the Neoplan Trackless Trolleys meant for Cambridge service (which will arrive on time) and run them South Station to the end of the tunnel.
The remainder of the 28 new Cambridge Trolleys will be used as planned in Cambridge. This, of course, will delay the units that will be donated to Seashore. But it will give us more time to plan and raise money for possible trackless operations there.
