On 8 SE 06 route 1 was extended from Salon Dlja Novobrachnykh. to Stadion "Rodina". This system in a suburb of Moscow opened in 1999. There are two routes, 1 and 202. 202 runs from the town centre to the Metro Planernaja subway station in Moscow, thus crossing the city line into Moscow. This system does not make a physical connection with the Moscow trolleybus system. Thus, two trolleybus systems can be found within the city of Moscow. There was a plan to electrify a route that would have gone into Moscow to a different subway station and making a physical contact with a northern Moscow trolley line. However, this plan was withdrawn for reasons not cited. Route 1 crosses over a suburban rail line that terminates at the Leningrad Railway station. There is a station on the line for Khimki, but it is uncertain how close to an existing trolley stop on route 1.
