2000

Seattle, WA. Friday, April 28th, 2000. Preserved trolleys on display at 2nd S., and S. Jackson St., 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parade to following during noon hour. Saturday, April 19th, 2000, the preserved trolleys take a 20 minute tour of downtown Seattle; cost: 10c. (During WWII until about 1948, you could ride the system for 8 1/3c: 3 tokens for a dollar.) Since the tokens don't seem to exist, the fare is a dime. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30th: A special 60th anniversary 4-hour tour tracing the city's original 1940 trackless trolley system. With stops for photos and lunch. Trackless trolleys depart at 11 a.m. (I might point out that much of the original system (completed in 1941) is now history. I am wondering how the trolleybuses will do those routes? But anyway, enough of the original system still exists to make the tour interesting.)

Trip leaves SEPTA's Frankford Depot, Frankford and Bridge Streets, at 11AM
and returns 4PM

Join us for a tour of SEPTA's three Frankford Division Trackless Trolley
Routes (59, 66, 75). Trip will include some of the rarely used cutback
loops along these lines.

All trip proceeds donated to the Rockhill Trolley Museum Tickets are $30.00
per person. Included in your ticket price is a hoagie and soda lunch

Edmonton, AB. ETS Historic Trolleybus Excursion. Thursday, August 3. Commentated tour to Highlands and other areas. Trolleys depart from the South Entrance of City Hall every two hours from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. Cost is $1.00 per person. Seattle: Saturday, September 14: NIGHT TROLLEY TOUR. A 3-hour tour of Seattle's distinctive and varied nightlife neighborhoods; Pioneer Square, Broadway, lower Queen Anne and the University District. Stops for photos and coffee. Trolleys depart 2nd Ave. S. & S. Main St. at 6:30 p.m.

Vancouver: Sunday, August 25: Day trip. Starts at Oakridge Transit Centre. 12 noon.

Vancouver: Sunday, August 31: this fan trip should include a visit to the new Stanley Park Loop. Apparently the Trolley Overhead Department will be field testing it with a trolley coach in a couple of weeks.
