See
above. All this took place at the intersection
of Tibet Road and Wu-sheng Road in downtown area where traffic
congestion is a daily routine, the poles on a left turning (northbound
on Tibet Road turning westbound onto Wu-sheng Road) trolley-bus
on route 23 suddenly became entangled with the poles of a southbound
route 18 trolley-bus. The accident happened as the result of driver
of the 23 rushed into making the left turn before the 18 which
was stopped in the line of traffic, was able to clear the overhead
crossing, not only the 23 lost ts own poles, but also knocked
off the poles on the 18 and caused the rope to break off. The
female driver of the 18 had no choice but to climb up to the roof
of the bus to bring down one of the poles which was shooting high
up to the sky and reattach broken rope. The whole matter was cleared
quickly, and both trolleys were heading off again in different
directions within 10 minutes.
Two new air-conditioned
model SWB5105KGP trolley coaches are waiting to be delivered for
route 20. Notice the snow flake symbol displayed on the lateral
LCD destination sign, air-conditioned buses are indicated by either
the word "kong-tiao" or by the snow flake symbol, the
destination sign reads ?????<-->???? (Bund at Jiu-jiang
Road <--> Dr. Sun Yat-san Park). Photographer unknown, submitted
