Transform the SFU Experience
Celebrate SFU’s October 2023 Convocation
Each fall, we gather as a community for a milestone occasion: celebrating graduands during SFU’s annual October Convocation.
More than 1200 graduands will cross the stage during four ceremonies, held October 5 and 6 on Burnaby campus. We'll be sharing stories about these amazing graduands across our eight faculties and Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies below.
To learn more, visit SFU’s Convocation website. It’s full of useful information for those attending the ceremonies including tips for graduands, schedules and where to park. You can also read more about our outstanding student speakers.
SFU confers honorary degrees each year to distinguished individuals in recognition of their scholarly, scientific or artistic achievement or to recognize their substantial contributions to the public good. This fall, SFU is conferring degrees on Stan Douglas, Esther Duflo, Larry Grant, and Phyllis Webstad - read more.
If you can’t make Convocation in person, please join us on YouTube as the ceremonies will all be broadcast live.
Be sure to tag your social posts #MySFUGrad so that we can celebrate with you!
