Burnaby
Boiler System Upgrades at Burnaby Campus
September 22, 2022
A scheduled central boiler systems upgrade is happening from Friday, Sept. 23 to Sunday, Sept. 25. There will be limited impact to the university community but the Bennett Library will close early on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 6:00 P.M. to accommodate safety inspections related to this work. Those on Burnaby campus this weekend may also notice that tap water is less hot and that, with cooler evening weather some buildings may be cooler than normal in the mornings. Once completed, this project will help us decrease our campus’s greenhouse gas emissions by reconfiguring our hot water usage through the Corix Biomass plant.
