Labics was founded by Maria Claudia Clemente, Francesco Isidori and Marco Sardella in in 2002. Since 2005, the remaining partners, Francesco Isidori and Maria Claudia Clemente, have taken charge. All of the three founding members collaborate in the research and teaching activities of 'La Sapienza' University of Rome. They focus on projects that center around how space can be used to its full potential, through creating functional and aesthetic experiences for the users. Restaurants, hotels, public spaces, offices, and residences are among a few of the types of spaces Labics has worked on. This year, the group visited one of their sites at Trajan's Market, where they produced sign systems allowing visitors to better understand the space.
