Milano

The data we were gathering on our study was primarily done in this city through interviews with a wide range of companies and designers. Milan has been the innovative engine and capital of the world since the Miracle during the mid 20th century. It is a much more metropolitan and culturally diverse city than the rest of Italy. Industrial design and architecture studios can be found all over the city as can their showrooms. Similar to Rome, Milan is seeing a resurgent of energy where many new contemporary projects are appearing including the new Fiera and the redesign of the old Fiera. However, whether the future of Milan will continue to be an innovation capital for decades to come is uncertain.
