A partnership in institutional capacity development to provide greater access to learning through distance education.
Beneficiaries
Immediate beneficiaries in Ghana were the people unable to access university education due to limited physical capacity of the universities to accommodate increasing demands for admission.
Results
- Distance education acknowledged as an integral part of Ghanaian education plan
- Four institutions designing and preparing instructional materials for distance education
- Distance education centres established in 4 universities to manage and support distance education
- Community-based learning centres established to provide support to learners in smaller communities
