Conceptual Outline:

To begin this project i looked at land use, road network, school, catchment area and population data for North Vancouver District.
Once all my data was collected and ready to go i began my analysis.  My goal with this project is to outline the areas most suitable for placing school bus stations, which can be used by elementary, secondary or post secondary students.  In North Vancouver today there are many concerns about traffic congestion.  The population continues to increase making the already overused roads inadequate.

The school data i collected contained all 38 schools together within the district, from elementary to post secondary.  By dividing this data into categories i will be able to analyze and illustrate most suitable areas specific for each category of school.  My school catchment data will serve as a boundary for my analysis, because it encompasses all the residential areas where students travel to each school. I will use different sized buffers for each category depending on how far students are willing to travel using methods other than car or bus.  Furthermore, i used the "fuzzy" utility to produce a more variable illustration of the suitable areas.
