Geography 355 Final Project

Hi, my name is Matthew G. Asplin

I am a doing a Bsc. Major in physical geography at Simon Fraser University with the spatial information systems certificate.  I have always been interested in maps, physical geography and general spatial relationships in the world.  Planning and working solutions with existing conditions and data is something that I like, particularly attacking the transportation problems around the G.V.R.D. area.  I have made several suggestions to many different responsible parties for small and large improvements.  Although my emails were probably a drop in the bucket, some of my suggestions have been implemented.
In terms of stuff non-school related, I work at Tri-M Systems, an embedded computer systems distributer, I play in the Port Moody Community Concert Band, I enjoy 4 x 4-ing, hiking, the outdoors in general, hockey, pool, chess, computer games and music composition.

Landrover: The first and only true 4 x 4

Here is a picture of me standing in front of my brother's 1963 series IIA landrover.  I believe this was taken during a stop along the northwestern shores of Harrison Lake on a trip last summer.  Needless to say, I love four-wheeling!

Now, lets move on to the Geography 355 Project:
