3.3 Final Results
Below is the results from the Boolean Intersection Approach and the Weighted Linear Combination Approach. In order to easily compare the two, I've shrunk them down in size but you can view them in full size if you click on either image.
Taking into consideration that all the locations around the Fraser River are unsuitable, both have results in the same general areas. This is fairly promising that both have similar results. These include the downtown side of False Creek, Coal Harbour, South Side of Burrard Inlet by all the industrial docks, and either side of the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.
Indicators of Success
One way to prove that the criteria was consistent on how the current location was chosen was to see if that site is included on the results. Luckily, it was a result on both images which is a positive indicator of success!
Recommendations for the New Site
Having a knowledge of the general area is a huge help in deciding on an ideal location. Using the above areas, I would probably want to locate the new site in the industrial area on the south side of Burrard Inlet. This area is fairly remote and not too many people frequent this area unless they are there for a specific purpose.
False Creek and Coal Harbour would have been ideal if they weren't areas that are rapidly being developed. There is always new construction projects happening in Coal Harbour and Yale Town is becoming more and more popular with lots of people moving to both areas.
